"If you want to test strategies against each other, I'm willing to do it so others can see what works best under current market conditions. All you have to do is be as transparent about your picks as I am.

Let me know if you're up to it. It could be fun and a learning experience for others."

Okay, here's my list, dabum3. Nobody will care though. Time frame is too long. People here more concerned about next week's weather or oil prices, or very very short term stuff, from posts that I see. Still, interesting for me to actually document my recent oil/gas buys. I'm surprised that I've bought/added as much as I have in just two months.

These are all oil/gas stocks I've bought in the past two months , April-May 2007.
(I hold more positions in the sector: In general, in scanning my 480+ posts here since '03, I have sold out of very, very few of the stocks I've mentioned here that I bought.)

Of the buys I've made (below), I believe I have posted here or on other SI threads on all of them after I made them.

Price target for each: I don't usually set price targets. But for stocks below, here I'll go for a 50% gain in three years, double in five. For stocks which pay a 6% or greater dividend (or 6%+ by including return of capital), target is 25% stock price gain in three years, 50% gain in five. No stop losses. Positions in actuality are not equally weighted in my portfolios.

Stocks bought and prices paid (arranged in no particular order):

PMBIF: $14.22
DSCZF: $7.97-$8.08
COSWF: $25.89
PEYUF: $17.48
RDSB: $75.50
TOT: $76.25
EAC: $27.04
BRY: 30.79
BJS: $28.10,$29.65
PDC: $13.91, $13.25
RDC: $36.24
RIG: $96.11
HLX: $37.32
HOFF: $14.65
OIS: $33.03
VLOUF.pk: $306.25
VLO: $64.98
APC: $47.45
TRGL: $14.39,$15.34, $16.75
OXY: $50.31

I just wonder if I can hold these stocks until 2010. lol. I'd suspect not. But just as you change your stocks and have different lists, dabum3, I reserve the right to add, subtract from holdings.

I've no intention of posting news, earnings reports, price changes, etc. My assumption is peoples' time frames and interests here are different from mine, so I'll not clutter this thread with news, etc. Just a price update maybe once per year. No reason to do differently, if I intend to stick with these stocks, this list.
