"Who cares about volume?"........anyone practicing technical analysis certainly does.

I think that the exact opposite argument could just as easily be made, and that is, that shorts could attempt to manipulate the stock to the downside due to light volume, resulting from people on vacation, etc, etc. Although I'm not making that argument, and do not foresee it, it's just as plausible.

ANX short position at 8% of float is by no means alarming or out of the ordinary, although the 12 days to cover on average volume would definitely juice the stock for a bit, should good news break.
