Dreaming? If the Iraqi government is smart they will not ask us to leave...ever. At a minimum, American bases and soldiers are good for the local economy...ask the Phillipinos who sorely miss that boost to their bottom lines. At some point when the security situation is under control, it will be more like Korea. We should strive to maintain a presence in Iraq as long as the theocrats are in power in Iran... J.
