Hi Kim Fay!

I assume you are referring to the technology "development" referred to in #3 concerning potential "Killer Apps:"

If so then I would say "cell phones" sure. The kind of part announced today for instance might serve a roll in cell phones. I wouldn't expect RMTR to be working on that directly, but hopefully people who make cell phone chips are.

But cell phones as a market is just one of the markets which their "state server" design can potentially address. It is really an improvement in basic technology generally... and can be applied to more than "state saving" applications per se. I really don't have a clue as to how big a market it might lead to but I know they must be hoping (expecting?) that it will go far beyond the number of cell phones out there. It is far more than an instant-on enabler.

You could attach this thing to all manner of analogue sensors and use less power to keep track of whatever it is you're "sensing." It could tell you what magnetic fields are doing. It could tell you if an analogue switch/circuit has been altered/corrupted/tampered with. Shoot! Gaming machines should be required to use it. <vbg>

Separate and apart from FRAM memory functions... this part opens up a whole new kind of product to semiconductors. At least I have never heard of anything like it before. No doubt Wall Street/investors will ignore it because its a cheap little part... but cheap looks awfully good when you sell it by the GaBillions! ...Or even hundreds of millions! <Hoo><Haa><Haa>
