I am from the "South", Virginia----not deep South as Georgia and the Carolinas---still the South.

Looking to the Primary-------as noted earlier, Hilary will likely take the Dem nomination along with Obama.

Looking to the General election --------the main issues are still the security of America(defense and offense), terrorism, illegals and immigration.

Hilary Clinton is not strong on any of those major issues nor does she appear to have a real understanding of these essential major issues------despite her glowing resume.

Sure being a woman, I'd like to see a woman President. Hilary is not that woman.

Abortion is no longer at the forefront as it was in the Reagan years---------R vWade has been whittled away slowly by eliminating various types of abortions such as partial birth abortions.

What I am getting to is this. The educated whites in the South will vote on the basis of the primary issues. Safe America, safe neighborhoods and schools, safe roads and skyways.-----in other words the basic issues.

The candidate who understands and articulates those issues will imo be the ultimate winner in 2008.

This is why someone like Guiliani could take the votes of the people in both the trailer parks and the upscale neighborhoods. Those issues are the glue that bind us all.
