TJ, my experience is that when I see mobs on a rampage, they usually have their brains well-disconnected. Without even reading the details, various points about the medicine man in China seem over-blown. I am very suspicious of 'the confession'. In Japan they extract 'confessions' as a matter of course, which saves on a lot of prosecution time and evidence difficulties.

It doesn't surprise me that in fact China and Japan are not too far apart in such things, just as France and Britain are not too far apart in many cultural norms.

I note the proceedings and add them to my "China file".

Today we have rabid New Zealanders accusing Mercury Energy of murdering a woman who was using an oxygen support system. They are quite over the top and in mob-rule madness, with the reasoning approach of a frog.

When you see a mob, check your wallet and check the truth. You will find both at risk.
