I went back and looked at the NAB announcements from last year. Although I don't have a snapshot of what web pages used to look like (I still need 3GB RAM, an MKII, and RAID for my PC) I don't recall reading about Meltek's FC-Array.

They talk about working with Ancor to offer this storage array for the FC-AL standard and Sun SBus and PCI Bus systems. The diagram is very interesting - as well as their approach of cascading 112 drives off a single controller. This may be a way of utilizing FC-AL bandwidth better, since more controllers would divide the available bandwidth.
