No. There is a difference between enemy nations and declaring war against terrorism which is not a Nation. If a Nation is sponsoring terrorism they should not be allowed to join a MATO. If they are simply enemies of another nation that is a separate issue. The idea of MATO is different in that respect than the idea of NATO. The world has changed significantly since NATO was designed and countries must realise that there are some global issues that are not bound to nationality. Failing to do so results in missions of incompetency.

Should we be allowed to join NATO if we ban tulips coming from Holland and have an agenda to destroy their economy with our tulip sales? Tulips has nothing to do with the mission of NATO. Terrorism is not a nationality. Separate the issues Bill or you end up not being able to deal effectively with the specific problem, and find your self hanging with the nuke em all crazies.
