Brilliant doesn't mean true. Propaganda can distort facts (or even invent them) brilliantly.

And even if they said "its a great movie and completely true", that would hardly make it so. Movie reviews are hardly examples of perfect authorities who are always right and who we have to defer to.

The argument they use to show its "brilliant", might matter, the mere fact that they say its brilliant does not. Logic and facts are what's important, not the name of the person presenting the logic or facts.
