Until I get that heart rate monitor I think I'll get back to doing my morning walks, as well. It's 1.2 miles around the perimeter of the town home complex I live in. That walk involves one fairly steep uphill walk of about one block. The rest is fairly flat to slightly downhill with another slight incline to finish it off. I used to do that in about 18 - 20 minutes, which according to the info that came with my pedometer, is a brisk walk. That info said to do this a minimum of 3 times a week. Starting in the morning. In the past I would see several red fox on that walk. I've even seen a soaring bald eagle on a couple occasions. They nest near a lake just a few miles north of me. That morning air is the sweetest smell on the planet.
