Lucius, I derive more financial benefit from use of technology than from my investments (Intel previously, Cyrix now). I would benefit if Intel provided some leadership with the multibillion R&D budget and provide some REAL improvements. This MMX and AGP crap doesn't cut it. I am hoping Merced chip will provide something real. One place I really like the influence of Intel is in networking. Presence of Intel let us buy our 3COM NIC cards for less than $100. We were actually on the verge of switching to lower priced good quality Intel cards, but then 3COM matched Intel's price. I hope Intel gets more involved in providing faster access to Internet. Joe
