you might also want to take a look at the pipeline business, which they've spun off as an LP. i have stakes in both Nustar (NS) and Nustar GP (NSH). the former CEO of VLO, Bill Greehey, has an absolutely massive position in them. that is all i needed to know. nustargpholdings.com
