Famous people..hmm..mostly in the medical/oncology/pedi sphere but not mainstream..does Judah Folkman count as famous? Let me think..what authors?..David Byrne of the Talking Heads when he did a book tour in 1987?..I played hooky for that one..Alan Ginsberg at what would be his final tour..what a pill, funny as heck.. Yasser Arafat..not meet but went to see him lecture in Cambridge..oh, I met Desmond Tutu over dinner at my monastery in Cambridge..Elie Wiesel..same city..Chomsky..Matt Damon at my and Jeff's fave pub(had no idea he's a co-owner).. Kate Moss when I visited a cousin who lives in Malibu, CA..Barack Obama at a fundraiser..but I don't really think about any of these people..didn't even take pix..too self-conscious.. Oh, how can I forget..met George Hincapie last December at a cycling charity ride he sponsored..my heart is still pitter/pattering..
