qdog,

You seem to have a good deal of insight into QCOM's and related products. Well, I've been long the stock for a while, and waiting for the new q-phone both to benefit my investment and maybe to purchase. Today, I dropped into a local Radio Shack and checked one out. Radio Shack was selling them for $549, and I was somewhat disappointed with the phone itself. I've got a Motorola StarTac (I know it's not even digital), and I have to say that the q-phone felt cheap in comparison & was larger than I had expected. I'm not saying any of this to denegrate Qualcomm's work, and I certainly wouldn't want my stock to go down, but why would they produce a phone with a low quality feel and price it in a premium category? Do you suspect that this pricing is only until they have some real CDMA competition? Do you know if there's a higher-end phone in the works?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Mike
