There were also a few other strains of country blues that were important, particularly the ones that brought in the influences of English, Irish, and Scottish folk musics, which added elements of harmony to the African foundation of rhythm, melody, and call and response. I will give the Rolling Stones for acknowledging who gave them the music that made them rich -- they even took some of the blues dudes on tour with them in the 1960s. OTOH, I have no respect for Led Zeppelin, who out and out ripped off the likes of Willie Dixon without giving a smidgen of credit. LC
