O.T. Good question. My take on it is that music is a form of communication, and we humans love to communicate. Music is a universal language. Some music we find unappealing because we are unfamiliar with the dialect. I recently explained this to my young son, who stated some music I listen to is not music but is just noise because it doesn't carry a strong beat or involve vocals. I told him that if he heard someone speak an unfamiliar language such as German, would he say the same thing? It's not really language just because he doesn't understand it? Surely not. Thus we get closer to the root cause of conflict...a failure to communicate. Which is what I see all around me in the world today. Which is why I invest in gold. So now we're back on topic.
