I am an actual person living with Aids and this is my first time posting on this board. As a result of my health crises, I have had plenty of time to read messages here and Mtley fool finding them most interesting as I have taken many of the drugs discussed.

Last year I began a therapy with Saguiniver whose absorption for me was very poor. My doctor proceeded to put me on a new combination with Norvir and Saguiniver. This was somehat effective but produced severe gum aches. I then gave up taking PI's all together.

Several months later I had lost weight, deteriorating and very sickly and in total despair. After a test, My T-Cell count was 70 and my viral lode int hundreds of thousands. After arguing with my doctor, I was persuaded to take Viracept with a combo of epiver, zerit and videx.

Miraculously my T-Cell count became almost 500 any my viral lode undectable. I have since regained 15 pounds and jog 6 miles several times a week. My whole perspective on life has changed to optimism and enthisiasm fully appreciating each new day that I had taken for granted.

I am playing extra innings and have been given a second chance at life... However I am suspect of the uphoria as I know that good things don 't last forever and Viracept is not a cure. I don't like taking massive dosages of meds three times a day. Often I'll forget and miss taking them and I know that the virus may eventually build up resistance. However, I am being tested monthly any my viral lode is undetectable. A true miracle. My doctor told me that everybody responds differently and for people at a far advanced stage nothing works.

Agouran stock has been very volatile lately (this is a game Wall Street plays) and some people on this board confuse the issues with their technical blurb.

When the truth comes out the fact of the matter is "Viracept" is the best Protease Inhibitor for most people (those at the onset of Aids) at this time with the least side effects and offers the best quality of life. I shall continue to use it antil a better drug becomes available.
