XM Receives Patent for Using Stored Content At Receivers to Improve Efficiency of Broadcast System Bandwidth Use
Today, February 20, 2007, XM received a patent for using stored content to improve bandwidth efficiency.

As is quite common with Mr. RayB's post. One must straighten out the actual FACTS, from David RayB Opinofacts™.

The patent received on Feb. 20th was originally filed on Oct. 25th, 2000, NOT on October 26, 2006 has is implied in his post. While much of the art involved in the two applications are similar in nature. It is not the same application. Patents usually take YEARS to be approved. As was the case in this instance.
