California LNG could be easily sited at Vandenberg Air Force base - it is isolated, already has a defense force in place.

Also north of Avila Beach (San Luis Obispo) next to the area for the Diablo Cayon nuclear sites - already fenced and defended, and there are oil terminals at Avila.

There are multiple Channel islands - the LNG could be based there, stored and re gassified, and then piped to the mainland.

This would bring LNG into the heaviest consumption areas.

For Florida, an LNG facility could be put on Egmont Key, which is now a Coast Guard facility which is outside of the Tampa bay. That's on the West coast of Florida.

On the East Coast, Jacksonville has a number of federal sites with ocean access. One of them may be suitable. There's always Cape Canaveral ;-).

In these places, even if the LNG facility blows up, it will NOT be near other structures or people.

This isn't like LNG into Boston Harbor.
