I once believed in the "more is better" philosophy. I wish I had just invested what I had when I started in some good quality companies instead of speculation after speculation in the under $5.00 catergory. The saddest part was I had a broker at the time and he encouraged me to buy the low priced stocks(AS LONG AS THEY MADE A MARKET IT IT!!) I lost my ass for lack of better term. Very luckily, I caught a penny at the bottom and rode it for a 3500% gain to make up for all my mistakes and then some. I was smart enough to know this was once in a lifetime luck that doesnt happen to everyone and now only play the type of stocks irby also believes in. Id rather use 70% skill and 30% luck with bigger boys instead of 10% skill and 90% luck in the pennies. I still take risks, because I am young and also Risk=Reward. ...This was just my experience and no one could have told me otherwise when I was starting, but thought I would pass it on. Wish you the best of luck in your investing future.
