I was informed that some folks only saw a small x instead of the 3 pics I posted. Hopefully this works now.

Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore, Michigan. Some of the dunes are 250+ feet above lake level.



This pic was view of Lake Michigan to the left of the large dune in the previous pic. The water is so clean that the deep blues are where the water runs deep & the tan stripes in the water show sand bars.

These are raw pics - no color adjustments were made to alter any of the photos.

That's my better half about to dip her toe in the water.



It was so cold she opted to get her hand wet.

This pic shows how huge these dunes really are. They allow people to walk the dunes in a couple of places. Yes, those are people scaling a steep dune at their own risk:
