Miscommunication, I was referring to the statement below: I believe it's still a crime punishable by death in the Palestinian Authority, as well as Jordan.. Does a Jewish people living in such an Arab country have the ability to be Arab? If you lived for example in Egypt and you have a citizenship there, that you are an Egyptian. Again the first generation that was not born in Egypt are stuck in limbo, Any children born and raised in Egypt are considered Arab Egyptians. It is the same in US, first generation migrants are not considered Americans, anything after that they are Americans.
To answer your question, if you are Jew, Christian or Muslim and you are a citizen of that country, you have the rights as anyone else. And while we're discussing this please explain to me why the Hashemites, installed by the British to rule over Trans-Jordan, are not as much an "occupier" of Palestinian land as the Israelis? Mind you, not that I want to see Hamas lauching rockets into Jordan, or killing Jordanian soldiers. Hell, the whole ME was partitioned based who helped. The kings grand father made the deal with the Brits. Everyone knows that Jordan is on stolen land. But there is high percentage of the population are Palestinians.
I just want to know why it's so bad for Jews to "occupy" a portion of Palestine, much of which was previously uninhabited? The problem was not Arab Jews. The problem was the mass migration of the European Jew. Some lands were bought but most of it was taken but force and some land was taking through genocide. You do not need to look far, just look at the oppression that the Palestinian face every day. You have to understand that Israel believes that its security is through a gun. I say Israel security is through honest and fair negotiation. In 10 years time the Arab population in the occupied land will exceed the Israeli population, that will cause a problem to the Israel. The need to settle the Palestinian issue ASAP other wise they will be stuck with an Arab majority in Israel. |
