I believe you're wrong here... whether a newspaper runs a story or not has little to do with "respect" for such freedoms, it has all to do with fear and their willingness and interest in running it... for example, a paper can have all the "respect" they can muster, but still are more fearful of retaliation, so they refrain from running a story... respect for freedom of the press is irrelevant here, respect for saving their own skin is what it's all about... you're defending an ideal that doesn't apply here, it's totally irrelevant whether anyone "respects" anything...

You can respect the free markets all you want, but if someone were holding a gun to you if you bought or sold, I would imagine that no matter how much "respect" you had for free enterprise, you would still "respect" that gun even more... self preservation comes first...
