Benny - the JTWC tracking has shifted the path considerably Eastward when comparing the path posted in #7052 above with current. At the same time storm intensity has reduced, its now a 125 MPH storm and likely to reduce further as the day goes and retracing continues. The Straits area seems immune at this point. Yes, I am up early at this unlikely hour due to jet lag.
