Sarman,
What you showed is pure propaganda, which is fine if you never experienced oppression and humiliation.
My friend, I showed you pictures of Palestinians having their children pose with weapons and mock suicide vests. That was PALESTINIAN propaganda, aimed at informing the world that they were prepared to sacrifice their children to their cause.
Sorry if you don't like the pictures... I find them pretty revolting myself. But they are the REALITY that the Palestinians continue to create FOR THEMSELVES to this day.
They chose to secede from Jordan and end all possibilities of a Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty where they would, once again be part of a Palestinian state (albeit one ruled by Hashemites).
They were "humiliated" because King Hussein FOOLISHLY believed Nasser's lies in 1967 that he was "winning" and that it was time for Jordan to attack Israel from the West Bank. That was a choice which that Hashemite ruler made (certainly at the behest of his generals) and it was the Palestinian people who paid the price.
I'm sorry that those decisions were made. I'm sorry that for 22 years (when Jordan renounced all claims to the West Bank due to the first intifada) he refused to make peace with Israel. And the children of the Palestinians living on the West Bank and Gaza are the inheritors of those bad decisions. But unfortunately they only compound them.
You want to talk about "humiliation", then think of what the Jews were forced to endure for HUNDREDS of years. All the anti-semitism, the progroms, the extermination camps, the tatoos and yellow stars, the Dhimmitude they were subjected to under muslim governments.. That's the reason they wanted their own country.. a place where ANY Jew could find refuge from the humiliation that was being heaped upon them around the world.
And when that opportunity was presented to them by the Ottoman Turks (and then the British) they naturally seized upon it, and purchased land in their ancestral homeland, Israel. And then they were humiliated, once again, when they were told they couldn't settle in Judea and Samaria, even if the land was uninhabited.
Yes Sarman.. look at the humiliation that is heaped upon non-muslims living in muslim countries. Look at the Palestinian Christians who used to form the majority of Bethlehem's population, but have been forced to flee in the face of muslim discrimination. One of the Palestinians I mentioned that I knew (she was a translator in Iraq) was a former resident of Bethlehem before she and her family found it just impossible to continue living there due to the "humiliation" that was heaped upon her family by Arafat and his cronies.

In practice, Christian families are typically smaller and better educated than their Muslim counterparts in Bethlehem and are therefore more mobile internationally. It is hard for them to remain under the Palestinian Authority in face of continued persecution, land theft, threats and abuse from lawless gangs. So many have fled to North America rather than remain to struggle.
The draft constitution for a State of Palestine decrees that Islam shall be the official religion and the principles of Islamic Sharia shall be a major source of legislation. Sharia law forbids a Muslim to change his religion on pain of death. While the State will guarantee free access to shrines, there is no guarantee of freedom to change religion. The draft constitution states that Christianity and all other monotheistic religions shall be equally revered and respected, but when a moderate Muslim imam in Bethlehem called for an end to the anti-Christian discrimination and land grabs, he was repeatedly threatened by militant extremists.

Nope... no pity for the humilation of the Palestinian Christians..
And, now once again, the Palestinians find themselves in the humiliating situation of killing ONE ANOTHER...
It's an endless cycle of being humiliated, and being the humiliator...
