My mother was a legal immigrant, who became a citizen, back in the 30's or early 40's. Wrong answer, counselor! ARE YOU LEGAL????? Today, at 82, she lives on social security and very modest investment income. You won't even HELP OUT YOUR MOTHER????? Must be a f*ing lawyer! Do you realize you'd be nothing but an unfertilized ovum long flushed down the toilet without her??? Even with Medicare and a Medicare supp policy, it recently cost her $300/day for her share of a short hospital stay, which consisted of a few diagnostic tests and no other services of note. Cheap at 1/10 the cost. The b**ds tried to kill me this weekend. Did they try to get her too? I sincerely doubt that illegal immigrants who show up at County to have their babies are being charged a like amount for services.* Zero, ya think? I hasten to add that I don't think the legal or illegal immigrant is entitled to free medical care. I do think that we shouldn't be rewarding illegality with freebies. Agreed. NOW THAT SCARES ME!
