If we dried up every last hour of labor provided by illegal immigrants it would only be a few years before there'd be all manner of new inventions (equipment, etc.) that would increase productivity to dramatically reduce the amount of labor needed to accomplish what the illegal immigrants were doing - particularly regarding farming. As it stands right now, the ultra-cheap labor is what stands in the way of these innovations to increase productivity.
