User-generated contents have a special position among others. So I cannot say "it is a plus". In fact, it knocked me off the chair when I heard Google was buying YouTube with such an absurd price and I found YouTube get so much attention. There are now even sayings that the days for professional journalist as a job is numbered under the contexts that people starting to blame these guys misled American public into the war and there are so many free/inexpensive news sources from the mass.

However, I think YouTube gets so much attention, partially, because of lack of high-quality contents on the Internet - until now.

When the "real things" come online, YouTube might fall back into a regular "blog" website - compared to the free (or paid) version of online Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, CNN, Yahoo Finance, ...

I just got invited to joost and start viewing the joost beta with multiple channel National Geography, CNN, Guiness World Records, Reuters, ... each with multiple programs, which looks better - side by side with the Comcast TV channels coming from a Haupauge TV capture card on my second Samsung monitor.

Go to the joost webside and get an invitation, which is easy and took me half an hour. The Internet will soon get crowded.
