I just took our two Wheatens on a four thousand mile roundtrip in our new Commander. Worked great. The Commander has a seperate rear a/c with its own controls. I set it pretty cold and they basically slept the entire trip except for potty breaks. The biggest problem we faced was motels that accept dogs, some of them rip you off bigtime. At one I had to pay $10 a day EACH for the dogs even though our dogs are housebroken and the larger more active one we put in a crate when we are not in the room. jdn
