I dont buy the terminology of war party but i am sure you knew i wouldnt. I have always been a fan of a third party movement. There has been some talk of Gore and Bloomberg teaming up to form such an entity. To get a third party i could enthusiastically support it would have to be free of rhetoric from both left and right and could contain no clintons or bushes for starters. Without getting into specific policies, i would be for direct election of the president, maybe one 6 year term, free network time for campaigns, runoff elections in three party races, shorter campaigns. There would be a libertarian bent including lots of choice whether on abortion or school vouchers, i might want to smoke some graass again so how about legalization. There would be an RFK social justice side. Poverty is unacceptable as is no universal health care plan.
As far as FP goes, i do believe we do have a clear enemy. I think we have to fight it wisely and effectively as well as protect ourselves here. So on that i am Rudy but i guess you take such a threat seriously when you have a building fall on your head which i did. I would call the new party the mishmosh party and i would require all political parties to have real parties every friday nite. Also want return of civility in the debate on issues.
