Subject: Long Beach Convention Date: Sun, Oct 5, 1997 02:17 EDT
I was lucky enought to be in attendance at the very first national convention for ILNK in Long Beach , California, this past Thursday, Friday, and Saterday. It was very well attended, with what I would estimate to be abount 2500 people. The company made some very interesting announcements regarding current products, future products and marketing plans. What I found to be the most valuable was the I-LNK phone, a full function telephone with a six inch screen to be used at home and office. The Phone is designed to be a full telecommunications device to be used with V-link for direct access to the I-LNK network. We were shown how the phone can be used for telecommunications in lieu of the PC. Very, very excellant product. Two styles for abount $210 to $350 depending on the style of key board you want. This product gives the sales agent a very good "show me " device to be used in the selling process. It became very clear that ILNK is not a long distance reseller, but a full telecommunications company. The CEO of Mibridge told us abount many of the new products that they were now producing for ILNK and they were incredible. Things like a multiplexer that will allow you to hang 15 devices on a single twisted pair line at the same time. You will be able to run your PC, phone, fax and tv all on one line, all at once (will this really save $ or what?) The tone of the distributors at the convention was upbeat and aggressive. Many national marketing directors were introduced. They were very experienced marketing people from other MLM companys( Amway, Excel, Etc.) The number of high quality people that are involved with this company in such a short period of time is almost unbelievable. The company introduced their new United Kingdom marketing Director. He is very experienced and will launch the marketing operation over seas with the same force that has been experienced here in the USA. All in all, I believe interest parties shoud do two things: 1) Buy all the stock you can afford, and; 2) Get involved with the company as a customer or marketing distributor. You will learn a lot and make a bunch of money. I believe that the company will continue to grow through strategic alliances and acquisitions. These people are not setting themselves up to fail, but to grow into a force to be recognized. The capitalization is done and the team is assembled and marching forward. Let me know what you think.
