Dr Benjamin F. Chavis takes control of first publicly traded hiphop company New York, NY (June 5, 2007): H3Enterprises, Inc. (OTCBB:”HTRE”), the first public company devoted to the Hip Hop culture and community, announced today the unanimous decision of its Board of Directors to appoint Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President. Over the past 40 years, Dr. Chavis has become one of the nation’s most effective social activists and strategists, having served as the Natonal CEO of the NAACP, before co-founding, the Hip Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) in conjunction with long-time colleague, Russell Simmons. HSAN has emerged as the world’s largest coalition of Hip-Hop artists and recording industry leaders.
