Clearly no software will help you if you drop your PC on the floor. Clearly SystemSoft is not making that claim. They are leveraging their successful OEM relationships, their successful experience with CardWizard and whatever intellectual property they have gained from Intel and DEC (who at one time had a thriving expert systems group) to promote a product which the market is crying for. Their goals of 10% call deflection at the PC level is modest and based on common hardware conflict, high fragmentation, memory, etc. type problems. The law of big numbers is at work here (25,000 tech support calls a day at Compaq for example). Many (MANY) companies are trying to do this same thing; SystemSoft is just extremely well positioned to produce. The product has been demonstrated and released to OEMs in July. The first embedded products (AST and DEC) are scheduled to be released in Q4.
