"and you used his statements are an argument in support of your original statement that ALL of the sources you listed support your theory."

No.

You must have mis-read the posts.

I only said that --- those sources --- had *all* commented upon / concluded... that significant structural support for Taliban and allied jihadists, was built into the system there. STILL active, still 'State-sponsored', (still perceived as useful in a nationalistic / patriotic sense to Pakistan).

The fact that all these sources are in rough agreement about the depth of the problem, and the extent of the support, may be 'taken' as a supporting factor if you wish (after all: more then one Intelligence Agency, more then one nation)... but that doesn't mean that their conclusions are not reached independently, or that they don't draw on their own national or institutional networks for information. :-)

(Far more then just speeches given by the obviously pissed-off Karzai. <g> After-all, I was reading about the CIA's serious conclusion that the ISI was 'not working with us... they were working with the enemy...' LONG before Karzai ever went public with his charges.... And the Brits & Stratfor & India [... and Iran and China too, for all I know] likely reached the conclusion on their own as well.)
