LIAR! Carter is the most honest president we have had. And the only true christian of the whole bunch. Shame on you for smearing a good man. And remember, his presidency came after Vietnam, the falling of the Shah, OPEC making its big move, etc. Whomever is president next will face similar problems. How to pay off the huge Bush deficits. How to deal with way too much power in the hands of the oil producers. And how to quell the chaos Bush-cheney will be leaving behind. One more thing. If Carter's hostage rescue mission had succeeded, he would have been re-elected. And don't you think it's suspicious that every single chopper broke down in the desert? Were Ollie North types behind sabotaging the Iranian hostage rescue mission? We will probably never know. Maybe it was just bad weather. Maybe not.
