Reasons I prefer DirectTV Important reasons. 1 - NFL Sunday Ticket 2 - I already have four directivos. Not only do I have the investment in the units, but also I have recordings on 3 of them. 3 - I don't have to pay a per month charge for my Tivos. Of course I could get the Cable companies DVRs and pay less, but there would still be a charge (not sure if the overall cost would be more or not), and then they wouldn't be Tivos. 4 - As far as I can figure from my local cable companies web page, I'd pay a bit more per month for the same level of service. Slightly less important reasons 4 - I'm used to it. 5 - My tenant is used to it and would be upset if I changed. ---- Reasons to change - I could use (if I bought) a Tivo series 3. I can get savings on packages with phone and internet services. (I already get internet access with them)
