Details haven't been posted. Long time ago knew a lady whose step-son was in prison for ten years for stabbing someone, he got AIDS from a needle, she and her husband (kid's father) petitioned the governor to release him and let him die at home when he had only a month or so to live, he wasn't a threat to anyone given he couldn't even lift himself out of bed, governor said no way (that was the VA governor Wilder, not one of our guys). Last I heard the father was drinking himself to death. It's harsh having to go back after believing she was free but the criminal justice system all in all is extremely harsh.
