Hi Bill: Sorry I didnt get back earlier., I have been on a hellacious
schedule of late and for the next month or so. I will try to explain
my position the best I know how. No mention was made to the train other than being 175Meters wide and 1Km in length. This is a relatively short train whereas some extend several kilometers. It is
my understanding WSP feels the train deadheads into Snap Lake. If the
boulders are not rounded but angular in shape implies two possibilities
1. The train surficially extends 1Km., which is relatively short
distance in glacial terms. Kimberlite is soft., being soft is easily
eroded. This could imply that the source is in the lake due to the
angular shape of the boulders versus smooth rounded shaped which were
smoothed off by glacial forces (abrasion)

2. The other distinct possibility which may have resulted in
Angular shaped boulders is pyroclastic venting of a source. The missiles or projectiles in cataclysmic events such as volcanic action
produces Angular shaped rocks jagged edges and the like. If we are
dealing with a source of volatile kimberlite I would expect to see
angular fragments and boulders in the train.
3. A good question to put to Winspear is the are the pyropes that
were found which were described as being up to 2Cm in size also angular or smooth.? Also ask Winspear what were the largest pyropes
found in the til samples around the dykes and 186.
