Americans are fed up with the flagrant display of disproportionate wealth by the rich and famous in this country. Its not unlike a 'ho displaying her wares in church.

ITs very unlike "a 'ho displaying her wares in church".

A Church building is specific, inappropriate place (and its privately owned with a reasonable expectation that the owners will object to the display). Also being wealthy isn't equivalent to promiscuous sexuality, and in particular isn't (and shouldn't be) illegal the way prostitution is.

To people who can barely make ends meet, it is offensive. Hilton throws money around like its candy. She's 26 and she drives a Bentley........most people could never afford a Bentley. She's wealthy and she loves flaunting that wealth. Consequently, her behavior has become as offensive as a 'ho in a church.

The irony is that Hilton is probably getting screwed over by the judge but people don't care.......they want her sentence to be longer.

From Edwards $300 haircut to the salaries paid to pro athletes to the over the top salaries of CEOs to the spending, corruption and criminal behavior by Congress

Congress' actions are a better example of something to condemn. As you point out some of it is actually criminal, and even when its not they are spending your money. Edwards, and the athletes are not.

I'm afraid you don't understand the mood in this country. Some of it isn't rational. Besides, its not their money......Edwards made money in lawsuits.......someone paid his winnings. As for athletes, we buy tickets that pay their salaries. Their money isn't coming from Mars......its directly related to us.
