That means it needs to be able to breathe on its own...

I see. So if you ever need a a respirator or other assistance breathing, even temporarily, then not only is it ok to kill you, but you cease to be a member of homo sapiens.

Amazing. Tim, even if it had a respirator, it couldn't breathe without the umbilical cord. And that's because it hasn't taken on human form yet.

Can you honestly tell me that a pollywog is a frog or a pupa is a buttefly?

We've already been through this. A pollywog isn't a frog in the same way that a fetus or infant isn't an adult. The same also applies to caterpillars and butterflies.

When a baby is born, its a fully formed human. It simply grows larger. Its the same when a pollywog becomes a frog. The baby frog simply grows larger. Both a fetus and a pollywog resemble a human and a frog respectively but only in minor ways.
