Saddam definitely paid for suicide bombings. And there is some indication of training terrorists.

He paid the families of suicide bombers after they suicided. That's it. Period. Finito. No training of terrorists.

Paying the families as a matter of continuing policy, is effectively paying for suicide bombings.

So that being it, is serious, not something of no importance.

Never said it wasn't serious but it doesn't mean he had ties to terrorism. Working with terrorists suggests more effort than simply giving money to suicide bombers.

Also that's it in terms of unequivocally established connections to terrorism that are part of a long term offical policy, but it wasn't his only connection to terrorism.

What were his other connections?
