I would talk to her about it and sell it to her like it is going to bring happiness and peace and harmony to her life. Convince her it is good luck and the sound it makes will take her to another dimension of tranquility. Maybe like the most wonderful place she can remember if she just closes her eyes and lets herself be taken away by the cadence and rhythm of water and bamboo. Personally, I'd find it very annoying. LOL
