Nearly everyone thinks that the trendline is broken. In fact many had it broken months if not longer ago.

Yes I realize there is disagreement over how to draw trendlines but I will pass your comments on to Heinz and Brian for more opinions.

Having said that, I believe the trendline you want to draw makes little sense. Your trendline does not get 3 touches (If I am imagining it correct) for 20 years. That is not valid IMO.

There are other ways I can draw that line in it shows a break before now.

I read an article on trendlines but can not find it that sates you do not start at the very top or bottom.

If I start in 1984 at 132.50 (13.250%) and touch the next point at 82.10 and hold that line, then the trendline busted some time ago. But if one believes that trendlines should be redrawn (and you can find lots of support for that idea) then Brian has the line correct. That BTW is who drew that trendline.
