I don't think the economy is exactly "booming", especially for the middle and lower income groups.

What growth we've seen can be attributed to the $3 Trillion in additional debt the country has added since Bush came in along with the 50 year low in interest rates the Fed gave us to overcome the economic drag of 9/11.

Voters aren't so dumb as to think the country can continue to pile up debt the way we have without it eventually affecting their standard of living.

No...we haven't had another major attack in the U.S. since 9/11, but we also didn't have any between 1993 and 2001. But England and Spain did and there's a reason to think that Bush's stumbling foreign policy led to both those attacks and to an increased threat to the U.S.

So I believe the Democrats and Bloomberg will be able to get a LOT of traction on the COMPETENCE issue when it comes to the Economy and Security.
