Rodney, I am sorry that you cannot grasp non-digital thinking. It seems that everything for you has to be 100% positive or 100% negative - an either/or proposition.

I do not know of an alternative for the type of trading I like to do. If there were one, I would surely try another broker.

I don't get good service, I sometimes get good trades, and seldom get price improvement. What I do get is free day-trading margin (and very cheap margin when it goes over night), and immediate confirmation and credit on those occasions when my trades are executed. There are very few brokers that offer this, and the only other ones that I know of are even more specialized and quirky than Datek.

I also use a quote service that is less than optimal. It's prone to wild mistakes, and doesn't catch every tick. But it's cheap and always works. (Even if it doesn't work perfectly.) I've tried PC Quote, which has clean data and never misses a tick, but every time I've tested it, the connection was unreliable. I'd rather have dirty data consistently than intermittent pristine data.
