Guy, I'm no expert on ATT but my sence is that the reason the management is so weak is because the Board is too strong. This is not the way to run a company and they have proved it time and again. If ATT buys GTE, I will sell my shares because GTE's management will be consumed rather than be in charge. The best play IMO is a merger with BT. These folks are smart and have a global view. If that happens , I'll hold on. With best regards.
