Thanks for the note Jim. I agree that a less invasive and easier glucose monitoring system should help compliance ... and that is really the whole key to treating diabetes. More samples are better particularly if a person is changing activity levels and feedings. So from that perspective, I wonder if clinicians would allow less accurate systems if the cost and outcomes are better than the current methods. After all, that is really what it's all about. Will the systems make an impact on the clinical outcomes when everything (accuracy, cost, ease of use, invasiveness of insulin tx) is factored in? But of course, we won't really know that until these systems start being used in large numbers and under a large range of environments.
