I stand by my previous statements. Doctors do not buy drugs, and drug companies do not market TO doctors.
I don't think I've ever seen a statement that represents such a fundamental misunderstanding of the relationship between drug companies and physicians. Have you ever been to a physician conference or convention? About 90% of the booths are drug companies. Every physician magazine, publication is basically all drug companies advertising to physicians. Of course physicians buy directly from drug companies --what products to you think they use in their offices and hospital practices? Do you know anything about hospitals and in-patient pharmacies? Are you completely clueless? Do you think the patients tell the doctor what to put in their IVs? etc. Pills are only a small part of the pharmaceutical industry. When I read posts like yours I realize how little some lay people understand about medicine.
