IMHO the AG Edwards report is yet another reason why Corel looks terminal (at least as long as MC stays there).
Companies take a long time to die (see Novell, Borland and Apple) and they never quite go away, but when all is said and done they are shadows of their former selves.
Ocasionally, some of them rebound back (e.g. Lotus). In principle, the same could happen to Corel. For example, if their NC were to be really great, however the chances are dim. (Apple tried half a dozen trumps none of which panned out: Newton, CHRP, Exponential, Copland, Gershwin, OpenDoc, Talligent). |
