Cheap and semi-legalized dope would reduce some crimes, at the cost of more people using dope. Is that going to be a zero cost ?

Stoners driving SUVs ... while talking on cell phones = zero population growth the hard way.

Most of us have to deal with enough idiots at work without having some of them high as a kite. I don't want to walk into accounting and hear Bob Marley through a thick gray cloud. Having the sales force on Vicodin may help them deal with rejection, but the factory would like to know some picky details, like what they sold and who they should ship too.

Even the thought of middle management on crystal meth, pushing Six Sigma, Management by Objectives, Zero based budgeting, and every other damn management fad is enough to make me flee to a cabin in Montana.

People were robbing and stealing before dope became so widely distributed. A way to get money without working means there will still be robberies. So legal dope would still mean millions in jail.
